Lambardi is one of those producers of Montalcino that was so to say “born into” the production of the Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. The estate is named “Canalicchio di Sotto” and is run by the family Lambardi who origins in this land by generations. Lambardi’s production of the doc and docg started back in 1973 and has in time followed the evolution of winemaking in this area, probably the most famous of Italy.

In total Lambardi’s vineyards are 22 acres that give a modest but excellent production of these famous wines. Lambardi cures everything in detail, from the vineyard, to the bottling and sales. It’s almost like going back in time, when visiting the estate, even though modern wine making methods are applied and extensions of the cellar have been done recently.

(Bossy, the beloved Lambardi family doggy
manages the estate since 1998)
