Export

Vinalità exports wines to countries all over the world. The importers can benefit from a professional service and exactly the same retail prices as our Italian clients have.

Vinalità is a company that distributes Italian wines in the Tuscany area. We are wholesalers and do as such not sell directly to the public. Our local clients are restaurants, wine bars and enotecas. In 2003 we also started exporting wine to countries outside of Italy. This activity has become substantial through our distributors in Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Denmark and the UK. At this moment several pallets of wine leave our warehouse every month. We hope to gradually expand our export activities in the coming years and build up a network of dedicated distributors in-, and outside of Europe.

  • Policy

Vinalità has a unique and simple philosophy. We offer our wines to each of our clients at exactly the same price conditions. Apart from this we also try to make sure that our sales price matches the sales price at which our wine farms directly sell their wines to the public. Our company is the only company that offers its wines at this unique price condition.

The fact that we offer our wines at equal price conditions matching the direct sales price of our producers, means that we earn our money through the small margin that we obtain as discount for the large quantities of wine that we buy from our producers.

Your advantage in doing business with us, is that you can choose to import pallets of mixed wines from different producers, and it will be exactly the same wine, at the same price as if you would buy it here in Tuscany. Whether you are a wine bar in Siena or a distributor in Norway, you will pay the same price to Vinalità that you would pay if you would take your car and get the wines directly from the wine farms.

The wines we sell, are always (unless you should wish otherwise) of the newest vintage, so you will never find yourself with wines from old harvests like the wines that are usually offered by most wine distributors outside of Italy. If you buy a normal Chianti docg, or a Vernaccia di San Gimignano, it will be a 2003, because these are wines that are meant to be consumed while young. If you find a Chianti docg from 2002 on our list, it will be because it's a "selezione" or "cru" that has passed some time in barique.

Please remember that many wines are not at all intended to be aged. This goes in particular for most white wines. Unless wines are intended to be aged like for instance Riserva wines, Brunello or Vino Nobile, most wines are simply more suitable to be consumed while still young.

Furthermore, we do our best to give you a good continuous service, supplying you with technical description sheets for each wine that you order.

  • Conditions

When you as a retailer import wine from Italy, you should first of all inform yourself with the Customs office in your country. The regulations within the European Union should be uniformed, but variations may occur.

We can ship to you, if you have a valid VAT-number, in which case the Italian VAT will not be charged on our invoice.

Importing is simplified if you are in the possession of a excise duty number, otherwise you might have to make a deposit as a guarantee for the shipment with the Customs in your country.

In Europe we can only ship wine to you, if you pay our Pro-Forma Invoice no later than the shipping day, supplying us with an authorized copy of the payment. For overseas deals, we require that the payment of the Pro-Forma Invoice arrives in our bank before the merchandise leaves the Italian territory. The original Invoice, Transport Documents and Certificates of Origin will accompany the merchandise and you will receive everything together.

Vinalità will be happy to help you out with any questions regarding international deliveries. Contact us anytime by phone or Email if you would like to discuss the matter or receive more information.

  • Transport

The only difference between our local clients in the Tuscany region and our International clients is that our International clients have to pay the shipment themselves, whereas our regional clients get their wines delivered by us without shipment expenses.

We have a small proprietary warehouse facility where we store a limited quantity of about ten pallets of wine for deliveries in our region.

For international transactions we use the best shipping companies to make sure that the wine arrives to you in good condition. Vinalità works together with Rinaldi Srl a regional warehousing and logistics facility close to our office, specialized in the handling of wine and olive oil. Rinaldi is part of the ALPI network, a very large international freight handler. Through this collaboration we are able to efficiently handle any shipment from smaller orders single pallets of wine to 20 or 40ft containers with up to 15.000 bottles for overseas transactions.

Before making any shipment we supply you with a price offer for the shipment expenses. We prefer to handle the organization of transportation, which usually proves to be the most efficient and cost effective solution for our clients. When you agree on the these transportation expenses we add them to our Pro-Forma Invoice. Our international clients may organize their own transportation, but due to our warehousing collaboration with Rinaldi we require that the last mile solution (from Rinaldi’s warehouse facility in Poggibonsi to the hub of our clients' transport company anywhere in Italy), will be coordinated in collaboration with Rinaldi Srl.

  • Re-labeling

In some overseas countries, language specific labeling is obligatory for foods and beverages when sold directly to the public. On request we can supply backside labels for wines with sufficient production and order quantities. For smaller series we have to charge extra. In all circumstances, these labeling request will be handled on an individual bases, because conditions differ between our various producers, while delivery times will be longer. Our providers are all quality wine producers with limited production for their most prestigious wines. With large pre-orders we are able to provide wines with complete language specific labeling, but only in case of pre-orders of new vintages.
